After arriving back from Greenbelt, I brought a new obsession with me... henna body art. It was bliss at Greenbelt festival sitting in the sunshine, playing guitars, eating and making henna tatoos and after speaking to a professional henna artist she really inspired me to include it in my art project which is on the subject 'Identity'. I have been exploring the history and tradition of it as well as the symbolism in the shapes used in the art.
I attempted on myself a peacock which is a symbol of beauty and peace. I also practiced free-hand on Jess, a butterfly for freedom and just some flower doodles!
