Mary Huang, Philips light dress, Hussein Chalayan.
I finally finished my AS level textiles exam! I did my most recent project on the theme reflect and focused on reflecting as light and light within fashion. My artist research included designers such as Hussein Chalayan, Mary Huang and an experimental LED lights dress by the lighting brand Philips. I also looked at Alexandre de Betak who does lighting design for fashion shows such as Chanel and Victoria's Secret. We had a 5 hour preparation exam on Tuesday, I made the corset on the right then for the real exam I made the one of the left. They were made using free stitching, heat gunning and had hand sewn tiny LED lights inside.
